Abstract
CONTROLE DE VOLUME PARA UM GERADOR DE ALERTA Um aparelho e método para controlar o volume do som de alerta do usuário de um dispositivo com base em uma análise do ambiente do dispositivo. O dispositivo (20) emite um sinal e recebe um sinal refletido resultante. Um processador (25) mede as características tais como a amplitude e/ou atraso do sinal refletido para determinar o tipo de ambiente no qual o dispositivo de comunicação (20) está localizado. O volume do som de alerta é então ajustado com base no tipo de ambiente acusado pelas características do sinal refletido. Por exemplo, se as características indicam um ambiente fechado tal como uma pasta de documentos, o volume é ajustado a um nível alto, e se as características indicam um ambiente aberto tal como uma mesa de trabalho, o volume é ajustado a um nível baixo.
