Um ressoador de espaço oco pode ser sintonizado com meios simples a um grande número de canais de freqüência pelo fato de que na parede do espaço oco (1, 2) são cunhadas uma ou várias amolgadelas côncavas direcionadas para dentro do ressoador de espaço oco e/ou amolgadelas convexas (7) direcionadas para fora.
