Trata-se de uma cantoneira amortecedora (1) especialmente desenvolvida para proteção de mercadorias frágeis, evitando avarias causadas pelo transporte, notadamente de latas de bebidas e embalagens cosméticas, sendo compreendida por um perfil metálico (2) de formato essencialmente em "L", em cujas paredes internas são aplicadas, por meio de fixação adesiva, uma camada amortecedora (3).
