Refere-se a revestimento de madeira maciça aplicável sobre diversos tipos de contra-piso, compreendendo o revestimento uma tábua retangular superior ( 1 ) de madeira maciça nobre cortada longitudinal e horizontalmente, e urna tábua retangular inferior ( 2 ) de madeira maciça de qualidade inferior, inteiriça ou rejuntada, as quais são unidas entre si por linha de cola ( 3 ) sob alta pressão, e constituindo-se por usinagem os elementos macho(4)efémea(5).
