Consiste de um invólucro (1) preferencialmente plástico, polietileno, polipropileno, polipropileno biorientado, poliéster entre outros filmes flexíveis, com elástico (2) na borda forma uma tampa flexível que toma a forma do recipiente (4) contendo o gênero alimentício (5) a ser protegido. Apresenta como vantagem o fato de ser muito versátil e funcional, pois substitui com eficiência as tampas convencionais.
