É constituído por um arco de serra de comprimento variável por ação contínua de parafuso(8) sobre haste retrátil(2) e possui mancais(14) de fixação da serra(4) com auxílio de pares de mordentes(18 e 19) que forma tronco de cilindro com movimento de rotação e conseqüente variação de 360 do plano de corte em relação ao plano do arco de serra.
