O sistema ora proposto não é senão representado pela utilização de sarrafos invertidos, isto é, afixado por debaixo do enripamento da cobertura. Isso significa que, além dos objetivos precípuos e já plenamente alcançados pelo método tradicional, o uso do sarrafo invertido permite, inclusive, o emprego de madeira macia, haja vista a eliminação do risco de quebras e de deformações além do previsto.
