"INDICADOR ELÉTRICO DE NÍVEL PARA TANQUES DE COMBUSTÍVEL DE AUTOVEÍCULOS", prevê que dois contatos móveis (4, 5) apresentados por um braço girante (3) estão ambos em contato de deslizamento com uma formação em forma de pente (17) incluindo setores condutores (18) e setores isolantes (19) e terminado em um depósito de material resistente (20) para fornecer na saída um valor ohmico variável de forma inversamente proporcional ao nível de combustível. O contato móvel radialmente interno (5) coopera com uma área condutora terminal (11) para a indicação do nível de reserva.
