A presente invenção refere-se a um reator catalítico de leito múltiplo com formato cilíndrico, compreendendo um dispositivo de distribuição que compreende ainda um distribuidor de alimentação que é separado de um distribuidor de fluido de reciclo e, portanto, protege a alimentação contra as temperaturas mais altas do fluido de reciclo. Também são revelados o método de distribuição de um fluido de processo e o uso de um reator catalítico de leito múltiplo com formato cilíndrico.
