De acordo com uma implementação, um aparelho inclui um cartucho de reagente compreendendo uma pluralidade de paredes laterais e uma parede de extremidade que forma um poço. Um reagente é disposto dentro do poço e uma tampa flutuante é disposta no poço sobre uma superfície de topo do reagente. A tampa flutuante cobre a maior parte da superfície de topo do reagente.
