A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema de fundição por resfriamento direto (DC) que pode ser usado para fundir um lingote de metal a partir de um metal fundido, tal como alumínio ou ligas de alumínio. O sistema de fundição DC inclui um sistema de condensação de vapor que condensa o vapor gerado durante um processo de fundição DC como água reciclada. A água reciclada pode ser usada para resfriamento subsequente do lingote de metal durante o processo de fundição DC.
