Material compósito compreendendo: pelo menos uma zona de reforço consistindo em carboneto de nióbio (NbC) e uma matriz de aço manganês; uma zona de aço manganês que circunda cada uma das zonas de reforço; e uma camada de interface posicionada entre cada uma das zonas de reforço e a zona de aço manganês caracterizada pelo fato de que o tamanho médio de grão das partículas de NbC em cada uma das zonas de reforço se encontra entre 2-5 µm.
