Os reatores incluem recursos de transferência de calor que ajudam a estabelecer um gradiente de temperatura ao longo de um comprimento axial dos reatores durante o uso. Os reatores da invenção também incluem duas ou mais espécies diferentes de materiais catalisadores que são dispostas dentro dos reatores de modo que uma determinada espécie de material catalisador seja posicionada a uma temperatura que proporcionará um desempenho catalítico aprimorado ou ideal.
