USO DE ANTICORPOS MONOCLONAIS ANTI-CD6 NA PREVENÇÃO DE DANOS CELULARES E ORGÂNICOSRESULTANTES DE UMA RESPOSTA HIPERINFLAMATÓRIA.A presente invenção refere-se às áreas de biotecnologia e medicina. Em particular descreve a utilização de anticorpos monoclonais anti-CD6 que se ligam especificamente ao domínio 1 de CD6 na prevenção da resposta hiperinflamatória que é desencadeada por procedimentos médicos resultantes da passagem de sangue através de um circuito extracorpóreo. Os anticorpos anti-CD6 da presente invenção apresentam redução do grau de hiperinflamação através de menor concentração de IL-6, PCR e LDH; com a consequente prevenção de danos celulares e orgânicos.
