A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema de satélite de transição que inclui um sistema de satélite legado e um novo sistema de satélite que incorpora transição em nível de gateway, transição em nível de satélite e transição em nível de operadora. O sistema de satélite de transição permite que novos sistemas de satélite com terminais de usuário, satélites e gateways possam coexistir com sistemas legados existentes, permitindo uma eliminação gradual de terminais e sistemas de usuário legados.
