A presente invenção se refere a um uso de Ciclo-HisPro (CHP) para diminuir a pressão sanguínea. Mais especificamente, a presente invenção se refere a uma composição farmacêutica para diminuir a pressão sanguínea, que compreende CHP, e uma composição alimentícia funcional saudável que compreende o mesmo; um método para diminuir a pressão sanguínea com o uso de CHP; um uso de CHP na fabricação de agentes anti-hipertensivos; uma composição farmacêutica para prevenir ou tratar hipertensão ou complicações da mesma, que compreende CHP, e uma composição alimentícia funcional saudável que compreende a mesma, para prevenir ou melhorar hipertensão ou complicações da mesma; um método para prevenir ou tratar hipertensão ou complicações da mesma com o uso de CHP; e um uso de CHP na fabricação de um medicamento para prevenir ou tratar hipertensão ou complicações da mesma.
