Abstract
ELEMENTO DE VEDAÇÃO DE METAL EXPANSÍVEL E MÉTODO PARA FORMAR UMA VEDAÇÃO EM UM FURO DE POÇO. Métodos para formar uma vedação em um furo de poço. Um método de exemplo inclui posicionar um elemento de vedação de metal expansível no furo de poço; em que o elemento de vedação de metal expansível compreende um material compósito de metal expansível e um material de reforço. O metal expansível forma uma matriz e o material de reforço é distribuído dentro da matriz. O método inclui ainda contatar o elemento de vedação de metal expansível com um fluido que reage com o metal expansível para produzir um produto de reação tendo um volume maior que o metal expansível.
