A presente revelação fornece, em geral, composições de adoçantes não calóricos ou de baixo valor calórico, bem como o uso de tais compostos para adoçar vários produtos alimentares e bebidas. Em algumas modalidades, as composições reveladas no presente documento melhoram o sabor de adoçantes não calóricos ou de baixo valor calórico ao conferir um sabor ou característica mais similares àqueles do açúcar. Em particular, as composições fornecem um perfil temporal mais similar ao açúcar, incluindo início e prolongamento da doçura, ou um perfil de aroma mais similar àquele do açúcar.
