Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho para cultura de células que inclui um biorreator. O biorreator pode ser modular e pode incluir em uma câmara um leito fixo, como um leito fixo não estruturado ou estruturado (como um leito em espiral) para cultura de células, com uma coluna de retorno disposta centralmente dentro da câmara. O biorreator modular pode incluir uma pluralidade de leitos fixos estruturados dispostos em uma configuração empilhada. O biorreator modular pode incluir um revestimento externo que forma um espaço para condicionamento (por exemplo, isolamento, aquecimento, resfriamento) pelo menos uma câmara na qual as células são cultivadas. O biorreator também pode incluir um impulsor com pás curvadas radialmente e também pode suspender o impulsor para que ele se mova de um lado para o outro e se alinhe a uma unidade externa.
