Abstract
É proporcionado um sistema reagente para tratamento de materiais contaminados com metais pesados e inclui um oxidante, um fosfato solúvel e uma fonte de hidróxido alcalino, tal como uma soda cáustica ou cal. É também proporcionado um método de tratamento de resíduos de minas comportando um ou mais metais pesados e inclui a etapa de mistura com adição de um sistema reagente com material contendo metais pesados para reduzir preferencialmente a lixiviação de metais pesados e formar precipitados e complexos de baixa solubilidade em metais que permanecem estáveis dentro da matriz sólida hospedeira durante longas durações em condições ácidas e abrasivas.
