Abstract
Trata-se de técnicas e sistemas para fornecer posicionamento automático de um aparelho de manobra (24). Um sistema pode incluir um sensor (84) configurado para detectar um objeto em proximidade ao sensor (84) e gerar um indicativo de sinal de objeto detectado. O sistema pode também incluir um dispositivo de processamento (70) configurado para processar o indicativo de sinal do objeto detectado para determinar uma localização do objeto detectado, recuperar informações relacionadas a uma característica física de um segmento tubular (44) e calcular uma indicação da localização de um ponto de conexão do segmento tubular (44) com base na localização do objeto detectado e na característica física do segmento tubular (44).
