Aqui são descritos métodos e sistemas para imprimir um objeto tridimensional. Em um exemplo, um método para imprimir um objeto tridimensional pode compreender: (i) um material de construção metálico sendo aplicado; (ii) um fluido ligante sendo aplicado em pelo menos uma porção do material metálico de construção; (iii) o fluido ligante aplicado seletivamente pode ser fundido instantaneamente para ligar o material metálico de construção e o fluido ligante aplicado seletivamente pela aplicação de um fluxo de energia com uma densidade de energia de cerca de 0,5 J/cm2 a cerca de 20 J/cm2 por menos de cerca de 1 segundo. No exemplo, (i), (ii) e (iii) podem ser repetidos pelo menos uma vez para formar o objeto tridimensional. O fluido ligante pode compreender um veículo líquido e partículas de polímero dispersas no veículo líquido.
