A presente invenção refere-se a uma embalagem feita de papelão, papel ou similar, compreendendo uma parede de base (12) e uma parede de cobertura (14), pelo menos uma parede frontal e uma parede posterior (22, 22', 22'', 24, 24', 24''), conectando a parede de base com a parede de cobertura (12, 14) para formar partes laterais (16, 18) da embalagem (10), a embalagem (10) é projetada como um corpo prismático ao longo de um eixo longitudinal (L) se estendendo paralelo à parede de base e à parede de cobertura (12, 14), e pelo menos um fechamento lateral (26, 28) acoplado à parede de base e/ou à parede de cobertura (12, 14) para fechar lateralmente a embalagem (10). Pelo menos um fechamento lateral (26, 28) é projetado de um modo em que, em uma posição fechada, repouse pelo menos em regiões em pelo menos uma das paredes frontais ou paredes posteriores (22, 22', 22'', 24, 24', 24''), acopladas à parede de base e à parede de cobertura (12, 14), e que se projete pelo menos regionalmente sobre essas. A invenção também se refere a uma matriz para produzir essa embalagem.
