Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a aparelhos e métodos que são úteis para um ou mais aspectos de uma usina de produção de energia. Mais particularmente, a invenção refere-se a aparelhos combustores e a métodos para um combustor adaptado para utilizar misturas diferentes de combustível derivadas da gaseificação de um combustível sólido. A combustão de misturas diferentes de combustível dentro do combustor pode ser facilitada mediante o arranjo de elementos do combustor controlados de modo que um conjunto definido de características da combustão permaneça substancialmente constante através de uma gama de misturas diferentes de combustível.
