Abstract
Trata-se de um aparelho que inclui um aquecedor com um elemento de aquecimento que tem uma região que não contém uma porção de aquecimento de superfície do elemento de aquecimento e um termostato posicionado na região. O termostato inclui uma superfície de contato disposta para realizar contato físico com um objeto colocado na porção de aquecimento de superfície e um interruptor configurado para impedir que uma corrente seja conduzida através do elemento de aquecimento quando a superfície de contato experimenta uma temperatura igual a ou maior que um limite de temperatura.
