Abstract
Trata-se de um método para criar uma junção soldada entre extremidades de dois trilhos de aço, em que os dois trilhos de aço têm uma microestrutura substancialmente perlítica. O método inclui uma primeira etapa de aquecimento, uma etapa de perturbação, uma primeira etapa de resfriamento, e uma segunda etapa de aquecimento e fornece um meio para influenciar uma microestrutura e dureza de uma região austenítica de uma zona afetada por calor (HAZ) e/ou uma extensão de amolecimento em uma região maleável de uma HAZ.
