Abstract

Materiais lignocelulósicos podem ser prensados em esteiras usando dióxido de carbono aquecido e uma resina de fenol-formaldeído. Empregando este método permite uma redução ou mesmo eliminação do uso de vapor. O dióxido de carbono, junto com outros gases, pode ser recuperado para reciclagem ou descarte, reduzindo assim a pegada ambiental do processo.
