Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se ao uso de oligossacarídeos de leite humano para a alimentação de animais de produção, tais como bezerros. A presente invenção ulteriormente refere-se a composições substitutas de leite contendo oligossacarídeos de leite humano. Outra matéria objeto da presente invenção é um método para a prevenção e tratamento de doenças gastrointestinais, particularmente infecções gastrointestinais, de animais de produção jovens, em particular bezerros, por administração de uma quantidade eficaz de um ou mais oligossacarídeos de leite humano. Particularmente útil no contexto da presente invenção como um ou o oligossacarídeo de leite humano é a 2'-fucosil-lactose (2-FL).
