Abstract

A presente invenção refere-se a um método para a pasteurização e/ou esterilização de mercadoria (1) em forma de partículas, compreendendo as etapas seguintes: a) produção de um raio de elétrons (5), b) pasteurização e/ou esterilização da mercadoria (1) por meio do raio de elétrons (5) em uma zona de tratamento (3), sendo que os elétrons do raio de elétrons (5) apresentam uma energia, a qual se situa na faixa de 80 keV até 300 keV, de preferência, de 140 keV até 280 keV, de modo particularmente preferido de 180 keV até 260 keV, a mercadoria (1) é submetida ao raio de elétrons (5) para um tempo de tratamento, que está situado na faixa de 5 ms até 25 ms, e o raio de elétrons (5) apresenta uma densidade de corrente de elétrons média, a qual está situada na faixa de 1015 s-1.cm-2 até 2,77.1015 s-1.cm-2.
