É descrita uma linha de montagem (40) compreendendo um sistema de transporte consistindo de paletes (70), uma máquina de rebitagem (100) consistindo de um dispositivo de batente (1005), um dispositivo de rebitagem (1010) e um cabeçote de amassamento (1011). O dispositivo de batente (1005) e o dispositivo de rebitagem (1010) flanqueiam o palete (70) em lados opostos, enquanto um batente (1006) do dispositivo de batente (1005) e o cabeçote de amassamento (1011) são transladáveis de modo a se aproximarem do artigo a partir de lados opostos durante a montagem.
