Cada parede lateral tem fendas (66) espaçadas em intervalos regulares, e dispostas em um ângulo agudo em relação à superfície confrontante da parede lateral, de modo que a correia possa fazer uma curva reversa com o mínimo de obstrução. Cada parede lateral (62) pode ter seções sobrepostas em uma modalidade alternativa.
