Abstract

Um cabo híbrido que tem um núcleo e um envoltório; o núcleo feito de um cabo de fibra de carbono ou feixe de cabos ou cabos de fibra de carbono; e o envoltório feito de uma pluralidade de cabos metálicos enrolados de forma helicoidal em torno do núcleo, a pluralidade de cabos metálicos dispostos lado a lado sem cruzar cada outro. As fibras, cabos ou núcleo podem ser tratados com dimensionamento polimérico, adesivo ou aglutinante. O cabo pode ser de aço e pode ter um revestimento tal como latão ou revestimento de zinco, ou um revestimento ou tratamento polimérico. O cabo híbrido é útil para reforço de artigos compostos, tais como correias, trilhos ou mangueiras
