Abstract
São reveladas composições úteis para processos de fundição como o de fundição com areia verde. As composições podem compreender argila esférica, bentonita e um material carbonáceo. A argila esférica pode compreender leonardita e / ou lignita cáustica, por exemplo, como uma porção do depósito de argila natural. A composição pode ainda compreender areia, de tal modo que a mistura resultante pode ser formada num molde de areia verde para utilização na moldagem de artigos moldados. A incorporação de materiais de argila esférica nas composições pode ajudar a melhorar a qualidade do artigo fundido.
