A presente invenção refere-se a um método de instalação de um oleoduto submarino (1) tendo uma interligação direta a uma estrutura submarina (5) que compreende assentar uma extremidade (101) de um oleoduto em uma estrutura de assentamento de oleoduto (6) em uma superfície de uma estrutura submarina (5), a estrutura de assentamento de oleoduto (6) fornece uma localização para assentar uma extremidade (101) de um oleoduto (1) antes da conexão a um ponto de conexão da estrutura submarina (5), subsequentemente abaixar a extremidade do oleoduto (101); e conectar a extremidade do oleoduto a um ponto de conexão da estrutura submarina (5). Uma estrutura de assentamento de oleoduto (6) para implementar o método também é descrita.
