Abstract
Um processo para separar seletivamente H2S a partir de uma mistura gasosa que também compreende CO2 é divulgado. Uma corrente da mistura gasosa é colocada em contato com uma solução absorvente compreendendo uma ou mais aminas, alcanolaminas, alcanolaminas impedidas, alcanolaminas protegidas, ou suas misturas. A seletividade H2S/CO2 da solução absorvente é, preferencialmente, superior a cerca de 4,0 para uma carga de gás ácido [mol(CO2 + H2S)/mol(amina)] entre cerca de 0,2 e cerca de 0,6 e é alcançada reduzindo o pH da solução absorvente.
