Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a métodos para dissolver emulsões formadas a partir de óleos presentes em águas de arrefecimento brusco de operações de fabricação de etileno. Os métodos incluem adicionar um oligômero catiônico à base de uma torre de arrefecimento brusco de água que tem uma emulsão formada na mesma, e coletar uma fase aquosa da mesma. A fase aquosa pode ser aplicada a um circuito de reciclagem de água dentro da instalação de fabricação.
