Abstract

The invention relates to a device for synchronizing in neutral a gearbox control lever (L) with an internal control of the gearbox of a motor vehicle, the lever being hingeably mounted in a support housing (3) and having an element (1) that is engageable with a portion of the housing that acts as a stop (2) for the reverse gear. Said device is characterized in that it includes a tool (3) in the form of an open collar and capable of enclosing the transverse section of the element (1) of the lever. Said tool (3) is shaped so as to bear transversely between the reverse gear stop (2) and longitudinally against another fixed stop (4) that the support housing comprises in order to ensure that the lever is locked in position. Said collar (3) has, at the opening thereof, deformable grasping arms (3a) and (3b), at least one (3a) of which is provided with a temporary locking means (3a1) that engage with complementary fittings (5a) and (5b) on one portion (5) of the housing. Said arms (3a) and (3b) can be elastically moved apart from or moved towards each other.
