Abstract

Um método de produção de um material de pó metálico compreende forne-cer materiais de alimentação para uma fornalha de fusão e fundir os materiais de alimentação na fornalha de fusão com uma primeira fonte de calor para proporcio-nar um material fundido tendo uma composição química desejada. Pelo menos uma porção do material fundido é passada da fornalha de fusão, diretamente ou indire-tamente para uma fornalha de atomização, onde ela é aquecida usando uma se-gunda fonte de calor. Pelo menos uma porção do material fundido da fornalha de atomização é passada num estado fundido para um aparelho de atomização o qual forma uma pulverização de gotículas do material fundido. Pelo menos uma porção da pulverização de gotículas é solidificada para proporcionar um material de pó me-tálico.
