Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a uma cobertura de proteção (12) para um elemento alongado submarino (14) tal como uma tubulação. A cobertura tem uma extremidade aberta e uma barreira (38) unida à cobertura para se estender transversalmente e fechar a extremidade aberta. A barreira é flexível para se conformar a e circundar um elemento alongado que se estende sob a cobertura e se projeta através da barreira. Isso impede que rochas de uma berma de rocha (20) entrem sob a cobertura através da extremidade aberta.
