Trata-se de composições para a prevenção de febre aftosa (FMD) que compreendem um componente de antígeno na quantidade equivalente a 0,5 a 20 µg de vírus de FMD e um componente de adjuvante que compreende óleo, um oligonucleotídeo imunoestimulatório e um veículo policatiônico. Também são fornecidos métodos de uso da composição, bem como os métodos de redução da persistência de FMD.
