Uma pilha de bombas de múltiplos estágios é aqui divulgada, em que a pilha de bombas de múltiplos estágios compreende um eixo, um difusor disposto em torno do eixo, um impelidor disposto dentro do difusor, um primeiro anel de encosto disposto adjacente ao impelidor e um segundo anel de encosto disposto adjacente ao difusor. O primeiro e o segundo anéis de encosto são compreendidos de um material com um baixo coeficiente de atrito. Sistemas e métodos para distribuir forças na pilha de bombas de múltiplos estágios também são aqui divulgados.
