Abstract
SACARIFICAÇÃO E COFERMENTAÇÃO SIMULTÂNEAS DE CEPAS FÚNGICAS QUE EXPRESSAM GLICOAMILASE COM UM ETANOLÓGENO PARA PRODUZIR ÁLCOOL A PARTIR DE MILHO. A presente invenção se refere a um processo de conversão que fornece o uso de diferentes linhagens celulares cocultivadas para expressar diferentes conjuntos de enzimas que catalisam o mesmo processo. Por exemplo, em um processo de Sacarificação e Cofermentação Simultâneas (SSCF), um substrato de amido é convertido em álcool pela colocação do substrato em contato com células de levedura e de Aspergillus niger. Devido ao fato de que A. niger expressa uma glicoamilase endógena e uma alfa-amilase endógena, estas enzimas não precisam ser adicionadas durante o processo de SSCF.
