Abstract
Um aparelho para manusear um ou mais elementos tubulares. O aparelho pode incluir um corpo definindo pelo menos uma parte de uma bacia afunilada. Uma pluralidade de cunhas com serrilhas pode ser disposta pelo menos parcialmente dentro da bacia e configurada para deslizar aolongo de uma superfície da bacia. Cada uma das cunhas com serrilhas pode incluir uma superfície de engate radial e uma superfície de engate afunilada. A superfície de engate radial pode ter uma pluralidade de estruturas de agarre se estendendo para dentro a partir da mesma que sãoconfiguradas para engatar uma superfície externa de um primeiro elemento tubular possuindo um diâmetro externo substancialmente constante. A superfície de engate afunilada pode ser configurada para engatar uma superfície externa afunilada de um segundo elemento tubular.
