Abstract

ABSTRACT Methods of creating various laser-defined control structures on pressure relief devices are provided that utilize a laser having a field of view that is smaller than the overall dimensions of the laser-defined structure to be milled into the pressure relief device. The5 methods generally involve partitioning the working surface of the device into a plurality of tiles within which a particular segment of the control structure will be milled. Upon milling of a control structure segment in one tile, the pressure relief device and/or laser is reposi- tioned so that a control structure segment in another tile may be created.TRADUÇÃO DO RESUMORESUMOPatente de Invenção: "CRIAÇÃO DE ESTRUTURAS DEFINIDAS A LASER SOBRE DISPOSITIVOS DE ALÍVIO DE PRESSÃO ATRAVÉS DE MÉTODO TIPO PLACA".A presente invenção refere-se a métodos para criar várias estruturas de controle definidas a laser sobre dispositivos de alívio de pressão que utilizam um laser que tem um campo de visão que é menor do que as dimensões totais da estrutura definida a laser a ser usinada dentro do dispositivo de alívio de pressão. Os métodos geralmente envolvem particionar a superfície de trabalho do dispositivo em uma pluralidade de placas dentro das quais um segmento específico da estrutura de controle será usinado. Quando da usinagem de um segmento de estrutura de controle em uma placa, o dispositivo de alívio de pressão e/ou o laser é reposicionado de modo que um segmento de estrutura de controle em outra placa possa ser criado.
