Abstract A method for making an insulating dunnage product includes the steps of (a) permanently deforming at least one non-planar interior layer that includes a paper sheet to form a plurality of air pockets; (b) surrounding the at least one interior layer on all four sides and over the top and bottom sides of the at least one interior layer with at least one outer layer of sheet material; and (c) peripherally sealing the at least one outer layer to capture the at least one interior layer therein such that the interior layer has major portions that are free to shift relative to adjacent portions of the at least one outer layer.______________________________________________________________________________RESUMOPatente de Invenção: "SEPARAÇÃO DE ISOLAMENTO TÉRMICO E SEPARAÇÃO". Um método para fazer um produto de separação de isolamento inclui as etapas de (a) deformar permanentemente pelo menos uma camada interior não plana que inclui uma folha de papel para formar uma pluralidade de bolsas de ar; (b) circundar a pelo menos uma camada interior em todos os quatro lados e ao longo dos lados superior e inferior da pelo menos uma camada interior com pelo menos uma camada exterior de material em folha; e (c) vedar perifericamente a pelo menos uma camada exterior para capturar a pelo menos uma camada interior de modo que a camada interior possua porções maiores que podem se deslocar livremente em relação a porções adjacentes da pelo menos uma camada exterior.
