Abstract
RESUMOPROPAGAR UM ORGANISMO E MÉTODOS E COMPOSIÇÕES RELACIONADOSA presente invenção é relacionada a métodos de propagar um ou mais or-ganismos usando-se uma fonte de carbono que inclui xilose (por exemplo, xarope de xilose da matéria-prima lignocelulósica pré-tratada) e/ou uma fonte de nutriente que inclui um componente de resíduo de destilaria (por exemplo, resíduo de destila-ria fino derivado de um processo de milho a etanol) no meio de propagação. Os or-ganismos incluem aqueles que podem converter um ou mais monossacarídeos em um álcool por intermédio de fermentação, tal como levedura. A presente invenção também é dirigida a composições relacionadas.
