Abstract
COMPOSIÃÃES DE RAÃÃO E MÃTODOS DE UTILIZAÃÃO DA MESMA. A função imunológica do animal pode ser modulada pela administração de uma composição que inclui beta glucan. O beta glucan pode ser derivado da Euglena que provê uma forma de beta glucan que é diferente de outros organismos, onde o beta glucan é predominantemente beta-(1,3)-glucan não ramificado. O beta glucan também pode ser colocado em complexo com um metal, como zinco, e/ou combinado com um componente de ração para formar uma composição de ração. O uso de tais composições pode melhorar o bem-estar de um animal e pode ser um acréscimo ou mesmo substituição do uso de antibióticos em certas circunstâncias.
