A invenção se refere a um processo de fabricação de uma espuma metálica munida de pelo menos um conduto e destinada notadamente à fabricação de um trocador térmico, a partir de uma pré-forma (1) de esferas. Dispõe-se em um molde de fundição um centro (2) constituído de um núcleo (3) e de um revestimento (4) em material fusível à baixa temperatura, depois se dispõe a pré-forma (1) em torno do centro, realizando um contato íntimo com esse centro, depois se provoca por aquecimento a eliminação do material fusível à baixa temperatura, depois se derrama a massa metálica em fusão no molde para encher os espaços livres entre as esferas e entre as esferas e o núcleo (3) e eliminam-se enfim as esferas.
