Abstract

INSERTO DE CORTE, SUPORTE DE INSERTO, E, FRESA. Um inserto de corte (24) para montar em um soquete sobre um suporte de inserto (22) de uma fresa (20). O inserto de corte tem superfícies opostas de topo e de fundo, e uma superfície periférica que se estende entre as mesmas formando uma ou duas arestas de corte. A superfície periférica tem uma superfície frontal arqueada e uma superfície traseira. A superfície traseira tem uma protuberância que se estende em uma direção para longe de uma região central da superfície frontal. A protuberância é localizada no soquete. O soquete inclui uma primeira superfície de contato lateral de soquete para fornecer suporte axial de maneira primária para o inserto de corte contra forças de corte que atuam em direção axial para trás durante uma operação de fresagem.
