Abstract
DESSULFURIZAÃÃO OXIDATIVA POR MEIO DO USO DE UM CATALISADOR DE TITÃNIO (IV) E HIDROPERÃXIDOS ORGÃNICOS, que trata a dessulfurização oxidativa (ODS) é uma alternativa atraente para a tecnologia de hidrodessulfurização (HDS),devido á sua menor exigência de energia para remoção de espécies de enxofre refratárias, tal como dibenzotiofeno (DBT), de correntes mais pesadas de petróleo DBT contendo diesel pode ser oxidado por meio do uso de um catalisador heterogêneo de titânio (IV) e oxidante de hidroperóxido orgânico, tal como hidroperóxido de terc-butila (TBHP),hidroperóxido de cumila (CHP) e/ou hidroperóxido de etilbenzeno (EBHP), que demonstram ser eficaz para a oxidação seletiva e remoção de compostos refratários de enxofre do óleo diesel.
